nni Strategy 2023, meta objectives and targets (read more)

Our 4-year strategic focus was set in 2022 and although continually adjusted we remain grounded in our purpose and steadfast in our direction of travel as an organisation working at the forefront of change.

The Big 6 strategic pillars for 2023:

  • SUSTAINABLE

  • Ability to run our intended plan and projects and growth for the next 5 years which n

  • POPULAR

Be popular for our purpose, dialogues, facilitation and training (to spread the healing virus).

We are known for the deep, real, authentic work we do – but it can sometimes be perceived as intimidating or even slightly scary. So, we aim to become more ‘easily accessible’ by increasing our shareability, lovability aka ‘popularity’!

  • PROVEN

Create a compelling inspirational and undeniable body of evidence.

We aim to do this by gathering, compiling, and writing reports, stories, testimonials, that are underpinned academically and/or empirically.

  • PROFESSIONAL

To be seen as a trusted, integrous, and professional global non-profit organisation.

This includes the peace/conflict and development field.

We aim to grow this through the impact of our work, the calibre of our nniAgent community, our partnerships and projects.

  • POWERFUL & BEAUTIFUL

We are already known for the powerful impact we have, but we want to make sure it has a beautiful impact.  We believe in a powerful process with beautiful outcomes or a beautiful process with powerful outcomes  - and everything in the middle

  • ACCESSIBLE: Diverse application/ innovation

Creating accessibility is an endeavour we run at way above our capacity. We will continue to place accessibility as a priority through our variety of entry points, application process, scholarships, free public dialogues, and indeed wherever we can. We will continue to do so but not at the cost of nni’s survival and health of its people, and not at the cost of our responsibility for impact and safety in using the methodology. There is an important tension and balance to hold with these variables,  and we navigate this with great awareness and consciousness.

Our 2023 -2024 strategy differs from 2022 to support our mission in these ways:

·       Allowing nni to refocus on application, innovation, and diverse implementation of the nniTechnology to spread the healing virus with various agents, partners and projects.

·       nni to have a simplified message and theory of change, and therefore become more straight talking to funders and foundations.

·       To ensure nni builds its brand of ‘spreading the healing virus of transformative dialogue’ as a ‘public good’ and ‘transformative systemic impact’ (instead of being seen as a training institute).

·       Allowing nniTraining to fully focus on training, and grow separately as a professional training body for coaches, leaders, consultants and change agents so that they can spread the healing virus by applying inclusive systemic change in various settings and systems (nniTraining will retain its exclusive and charitable relationship with nni ensuring promising individuals are trained as nniAgents with partial to full scholarships).

.

nniTraining back in nniDialogue Institute - reasons

For various practical and legal reasons nniTraining has moved back to the nniDialogue Institute and is no longer part of nni the non-profit organisation. nniTraining will continue to grow as a separate training provider with an exclusive relationship with nni, and continue to provide partial to full scholarships to promising potential nniAgents. nni does not have the capacity nor funding to run its own training, therefore nniTraining will hold this function for nni until such time in the future if/when nni is ready to re-integrate this function. This is largely funding dependent.

-       Our training needs significant investment to professionalise as a global training institute that we cannot directly justify, nor want to, in terms of nni’s mandate as public benefit organisation; training is also making a loss while it is growing and we need to protect nni from any financial implications.

-        Our special relationship with nniDI enables nni to offer scholarships for those who qualify
